Marine Electronics of the Outer Banks was established in Nags Head, North Carolina, in March of 1997 by Howard Rock and Don Small.  Don retired from the business in 2004 leaving Howard as full owner.  We are a member of Greater Hampton Roads Better Business Bureau, and also a member of National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA).  Howard has his FCC license, CMET certification, and he is a licensed amateur radio operator.

The Outer Banks is well know for the production of its “Carolina Custom Sport Fishing Yachts”  We are the only store of its kind in the Outer Banks area therefore we supply the demand of marine electronics to the local boat builders.  We also repair the Furuno equipment in the area.  We have two installation technicians that stay busy in the field, installing and repairing equipment, also an on-site electronics technician that repairs equipment brought or shipped to our store.
